MONTCLAIR, NEW JERSEY

Montclair Township, New Jersey was issued a Depredation Permit by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on June 15, 2007 which authorizes the "lethal" removal of 100 Canada geese from property belonging to the Township.

As a result, 80 geese were exterminated.

The Coalition to Prevent the Destruction of Canada Geese is seeking to find out exactly why Montclair Township abandoned their non-lethal goose abatement program, which back in 2005 was tauted as a success.
